Gandha Natyaanche

‘Gandh Natyanche’ is a year-long initiative by Prarambh Kala Academy, with Maharashtra Culture Club as its media partner. The fifth edition of the initiative was held on Sunday, 30 August 2026, at Abhinay Katta, Jijamata Udyan, Bhaskar Colony, Thane.

As part of the initiative, an engaging discussion was held on the topic “Is It Just Work, or Is It from the Heart? Changing Relationships with Domestic Workers.”

The discussion featured Dr. Anagha Raut, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Vidyavikas Education Society; Archana Jagtap, a domestic worker; Padma Hushing, President of Aamhi Siddha Lekhika Sanstha; and Ashok Chitnis, a retired principal.

The discussion was moderated by Purva Karve-Bapat.

Prarambh Kala Academy, in association with Maharashtra Times and the Thane Municipal Corporation, successfully organized the fourth edition of its thought-provoking discussion series, ‘Gandh Natyanche’, at the rehearsal hall of Gadkari Rangayatan.

The theme of the session, “The Dual Role of a Mother and Father – Understanding Single Parenting,” was received with great enthusiasm and witnessed an overwhelming response from the audience in Thane.

The distinguished panel featured Ms. Nandini Awade (IAS), Secretary, Maharashtra State Commission for Women, Ms. Shilpa Chogle, Motivational Transformer, and renowned actress Ujjwala Jog, who shared their valuable insights and personal perspectives on the challenges and strengths of single parenting.

The formal proceedings were gracefully anchored by Mansi Joshi from Prarambh Kala Academy, while the discussion was expertly moderated by Dr. Arundhati Bhalerao, who engaged the speakers in a meaningful and insightful conversation.

The event was meticulously planned and coordinated by the Prarambh team, including Kirti Kerkar, Manisha Shitut, Vaishali Parad, and Mansi Joshi, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the programme.

The event was also graced by several distinguished guests, including Prof. Ashok Chitnis, Meera Korde of Saraswati Mandir Trust, Nainesh Patankar of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, Subodh Vaidya, Dr. Smita Chitre, Advocate Smita Devkar, singer Prafull Athawale, Achal Deshpande, and Laxmi Nadkarni.

A few memorable moments from the third edition of “Gandh Natyanche”, an interview series jointly organized by Prarambh Kala Academy, Maharashtra Times, and the Thane Municipal Corporation.

🌹 Prarambh Kala Academy 🌹

Prarambh Kala Academy Thane, in collaboration with Maharashtra Times, successfully आयोजित the first session of the dialogue series “Gandh Natyache” at the Town Hall, with the support of Thane Municipal Corporation.

The inaugural session focused on “Expressions of the Mother–Daughter Relationship.” The panel featured renowned personalities including actress Snigdha Sabnis, actress Rupalakshmi Shinde, director Samiha Sabnis, and dancer Sanika Shinde. The discussion was beautifully moderated by Arundhati Bhalerao, while the formal anchoring was conducted by Kirti Kerkar from Prarambh.

The event witnessed a large audience turnout for this free program. Meenal Jogalekar, Director of Pu La Deshpande Kala Academy, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The session was thoughtfully evaluated by noted writer Yamini Pangavkar, who was present in the role of a judge.

Dignitaries from Maharashtra Times, including Shrikant Bojewar, Shrikant Sawant, and Janhavi Madam, were also present at the event. The entire team of Prarambh Kala Academy worked tirelessly to make this event a grand success.
